Ian Busher

After many years of exhibiting his more industrial mixed media work he has returned to more traditional painting.

He paints in a geometric style reminiscent of mid-century abstracts. While he’s constantly evolving the core key elements remain consistent: balance; composition, form, flow, movement and colour. While a viewer may not be certain what they are looking at or what it represents, if there is a comfort and harmony in the elements of the piece he feels it is doing it's job: not to hit the viewer over the head with obvious meaning, but be representative of a time or place or mood. Ian’s studio is in Toronto and his works can be found in galleries as well as private and corporate collections worldwide.
